If you haven’t read the comments from yesterday’s marathon weight gain post, I highly recommend you check them out! Thanks to everyone for the thoughtful and insightful comments!
It’s time for What I Ate Wednesday! It doesn’t feel like Wednesday today- it feels later in the week. If only!
When I said I was going to eat pudding oats every day, I meant it.
I CANNOT get enough of these! The first thing I do when I wake up is walk straight to the fridge, grab my oats and eat breakfast. It’s delightful
I went out to lunch with my sister after work today for two reasons- we can’t use the kitchen for two weeks (SERIOUSLY! UGHHHH) and she passed a very important test at school and we had to celebrate!
We went to our favorite restaurant, Rutabegorz- home of many twin dates.
Creamy chipotle dip for a dollar?! Don’t mind if I do…
The menu is ridiculously long- I always have such a hard time deciding what to order! The falafel wrap caught my eye, so I went with it.
Sans cucumber and tomato and with feta- basically took out the veggies and added cheese, haha. I was just telling my sister that I’ve actually come to really like most vegetables- but I don’t care for cucumbers and I can’t stand raw tomatoes!
This hit the spot. It came with hummus and an herb sauce to dip. Deeeeeelicious!
I rarely eat out- especially not for lunch- and it was a nice way to spend the afternoon!
The rest of my eats were boring and eaten straight out of the container because we can’t wash dishes, so I didn’t take any pictures. I miss my kitchen already
How often do you eat out?

i defs eat out more when im not at home!!. when im at home not too often.. i hate spending my money unless its really good!! liek baja fresh.. obsessed with it when im in the Us
Oh, falafel. I run past a falafel place every day when I’m doing my loop and it always just smells like HEAVEN. Adore. I don’t eat out often at all – on the weekends, probably a dinner or two or maybe a lunch, depending on what our schedule is, but during the week it’s all in the kitchen or brown-bagged.
I rarely eat out when I’m away at school cause I like to save my money, but when I’m home with the parents I go out quite a bit!
At home, my family eats out far more than I’d like to, but I go with them because I want to spend time with them! Otherwise I often pick up food when i’m out, but don’t usually sit in restaurants – funding is limited
I eat out about once a week or once every two weeks. It’s fun to go out to different restaurants when it’s part of my job.
I hate raw tomatoes too! Yuck! I like them stewed though. I think it’s the texture of the raw ones that I don’t like.
I rarely eat out so when I do its a really treat!
I don’t eat out very often. I must prefer going out to lunch whenever we do go out! I think lunch places are so much fun
I don’t eat out very often, but when I do– BOY do I indulge
Totally with you on the cucumbers. YUCK. I cannot stand the smell even. We try to only eat out once a week tops. There aren’t any just over the top fantastic must-eat-at places for me so it’s easier and tastier to just eat in.
Eating out is such a great treat!
I actually eat out quite a bit, which isnt’ so good for my waistline or my wallet
haha but I’m single and I spent most of my time with friends (my family lives in another state) and so I go out with friends probably 4-5 times a week!
I love eating out for lunch – it feels so luxurious
Raw tomatoes aren’t my favourite, but I love cucumber!!
I love going out to eat with my family! I definitely eat out more than a lot of food bloggers. I really love trying new foods and new restaurants though! I used to hate raw tomatoes as well — I’m still not a huge fan, but I had to learn to like them when I went to Spain last year. Spain is like the meat capital of the world so I ate whatever wasn’t meat!
Kate! Omgshhh I love rutabegorz!!! did you go to the Orange one? I haven’t been there–only fullerton
Yeah! It was the one in Orange
I love the Tustin one too! I’ve never been to the Fullerton one. Meet-up?!
I eat out wayyyy more at home than in Asheville, just because I don’t have a lot of friends here. I’m excited to meet more people though, because the restaurants here are AMAZING. Also, I don’t think I ever responded to you, but I am going to write a post on moving, etc.
Yumm love that falafel wrap! I hardly ever eat out just because I find it to be so unhealthy
Not having a kitchen for 2 weeks! That would make me so upset. We eat out about once a week, but not all fancy dining. There are a few family owned restaurants my husband and I like to go to, where you can get great food and two people can eat for under $20.
